Transitioning from one client management system to a new electronic system required that we conduct a Privacy Impact Assessment (PIA) to comply with Alberta's Health Information Act. Ensuring that our Centre handles personal health information properly is a significant priority for us. We hired the Privacy Information Agency to write our PIA, and we can't thank them enough. The Privacy Information Agency team were great to deal with. Before we hired Tania and Nicole, we had a mess of personal information that needed to be organised and secured as per provincial PIPEDA privacy laws of Ontario.
